10 hits in a row. Every hour.

We're talking millions of lights, entire Christmas villages, magical ice sculptures, and some of the biggest holiday attractions in Texas.

Whether you're planning a date night, looking for something fun with the family, or just need an excuse to get out of the house, B96 has five DFW holiday experiences worth putting on your calendar.

1. Harry Potter Takes Over ICE! at Gaylord Texan

November 13, 2026 – January 3, 2027

Where: Gaylord Texan Resort, 1501 Gaylord Trail, Grapevine

Calling all witches, wizards, and Muggles. This might be the coolest holiday attraction in North Texas. Literally.

The Gaylord Texan is bringing the world of Harry Potter to its annual ICE! attraction, transforming more than two million pounds of ice into colorful, hand-carved sculptures inspired by the wizarding world.

And here's the part you might want to know before showing up in shorts: the attraction stays at a chilly 9 degrees.

Don't worry. They provide parkas, but bringing gloves and a hat isn't a bad idea.

Beyond ICE!, the resort's Lone Star Christmas celebration includes ice tubing, gingerbread decorating, and plenty of other holiday activities.

2. Dallas Arboretum's 12 Days of Christmas Gets One Final Curtain Call

November 11, 2026 – January 3, 2027

Where: Dallas Arboretum, 8525 Garland Road, Dallas

If you've never experienced the Dallas Arboretum during the holidays, this year comes with an extra reason to go.

After 12 years, the attraction's famous 12 Days of Christmas gazebos are making their final appearance.

The elaborate, glass-enclosed displays bring the classic Christmas song to life across the Arboretum's beautiful grounds. Visitors can also explore the Christmas Village, enjoy festive decorations, and take in the holiday atmosphere during daytime or evening visits.

It's one of Dallas's most recognizable Christmas traditions, and this is your last chance to see the gazebos in their current run.

Imagine driving through two miles of Christmas lights without ever having to leave your car.

That's Prairie Lights.

The Grand Prairie holiday favorite returns Thanksgiving night with four million lights and hundreds of new illuminated displays lining the route.

It's one of those classic DFW experiences that works for just about everybody. Bring the kids, make it a date night, or load up the car with friends and see who can spot the most outrageous display.

Prairie Lights is scheduled to open nightly from 6 to 10 p.m. through New Year's Eve.

4. Dallas Zoo Lights Turns the Zoo Into a Holiday Wonderland

November 13, 2026 – January 3, 2027, select nights

Where: Dallas Zoo, 650 South R.L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas

The animals might be getting ready for bed, but the Dallas Zoo is just getting started.

Dallas Zoo Lights returns with glowing pathways, larger-than-life themed displays, and plenty of holiday photo opportunities.

This is a walk-through experience, so you can take your time exploring the illuminated attractions, enjoying seasonal treats, and soaking up the Christmas atmosphere.

The event runs from 5:30 to 9 p.m. on select nights, with tickets starting at $19.

One thing to remember: this is about the holiday lights, not nighttime animal viewing. Most of the zoo's residents are tucked in for the evening.
