THE STORY BEHIND B96

Cory Bayle — Owner & Program Director, B96

Owner & Program Director

Cory Bayle

B96 is locally owned, operated, and programmed by Cory Bayle, a Texas radio and television professional with more than 38 years of media experience.

Cory's radio background includes on-air and programming roles at KRLB-FM in Lubbock, KZBT B93 in Midland/Odessa, and KLTG-FM in Corpus Christi. In Midland/Odessa, he hosted the market's #1 night show on B93 while also serving as Assistant Program Director and Music Director. He later served as Program Director of KLTG-FM in Corpus Christi. Those experiences helped shape the programming philosophy behind B96 Dallas/Fort Worth.

His television career includes local TV work in Texas and Ohio, along with national network experience at Scripps News. That mix of radio, television, programming, production, and promotion helped shape the sound of B96.

The name B96 has personal meaning: "B" comes from Cory's last name and nods to B93 in Midland/Odessa. "96" comes from 1996, the year Cory started his first radio gig at KRLB-FM in Lubbock.

B96 streams online, but it is programmed in Dallas/Fort Worth with a local point of view and a genuine passion for hit music.
