Tuesday means new Billboard charts, and this week's biggest headline belongs to Shakira and Burna Boy.
Their FIFA World Cup 2026 anthem, "Dai Dai," has reached No. 1 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart, becoming the first official FIFA World Cup anthem ever to top the chart since it launched in 2020.
The achievement gives Shakira another World Cup milestone. Her 2010 anthem, "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)," became one of the tournament's most iconic songs, and now she's added another global hit to her World Cup legacy.
Shakira and Burna Boy performed "Dai Dai" during the FIFA World Cup 2026 opening ceremony on June 11 at Mexico City's Estadio Azteca.
Looking ahead, Shakira is scheduled to perform alongside BTS and Madonna during the first-ever FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show on July 19 at MetLife Stadium. The performance will help raise money for the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.
"We're gonna be combining the passion for fútbol and music for a good cause," Shakira told Billboard.
