B96 DallasOctober 5, 20263 min read

Halloween is getting a serious glow-up in Arlington.

Pumpkin Nights is back at Howell Farms, transforming the property into a half-mile nighttime trail filled with more than 10,000 hand-carved and custom-designed pumpkins. The experience runs through October 31 and includes nine immersive themed lands, live entertainment, food, games and plenty of photo opportunities.

Nine Pumpkin Worlds in One Night

This isn’t just a row of jack-o’-lanterns.

The trail winds through nine different themed areas, including The Forbidden City, Neon Reef, The Great Hall, The Enchanted Forest and Maravilla Lane. The installations range from glowing creatures and giant sculptures to elaborate scenes built from thousands of pumpkins. Pumpkin Nights

Organizers describe the event as a Halloween experience built more around creativity and visual spectacle than scares.

There’s More After the Trail

Once you make it through the pumpkin displays, the night continues in Pumpkin Village.

That area includes a live fire show, live pumpkin carving, seasonal food and drinks, family games, vendors and photo ops. The fire shows run throughout the evening, and pumpkin artists carve new pieces on-site each night.

From October 2 through Halloween, entry runs from 6 to 9 p.m. on weekdays and 6 to 9:30 p.m. on weekends. Entry times are scheduled in 30-minute windows. Pumpkin Nights

Parking is $10 per vehicle, and organizers recommend giving yourself extra time on busy nights because parking lines can build.

Tickets

For the rest of October, general admission ranges from $24 to $28 for adults on weekdays and $34 to $38 on weekends. Tickets for kids ages 4 to 12 range from $16 to $18 on weekdays and $24 to $28 on weekends. Children 3 and younger get in free. Prices can increase as dates fill up. Pumpkin Nights

Tickets are sold online in advance, and the event says some nights do sell out.

With Halloween now just a few weeks away, Pumpkin Nights gives DFW families another reason to head outside after dark — and with 10,000 glowing pumpkins involved, this one should be pretty hard to miss.
