Niall Horan & Thomas Rhett Surprise Fans With Cover of Ella Langley's 'Choosin' Texas'

Country met pop in a big way when Niall Horan and Thomas Rhett teamed up for an unforgettable performance in Nashville.

During one of their co-headlining stadium shows at GEODIS Park, the longtime friends surprised the crowd with an acoustic version of Ella Langley's massive hit "Choosin' Texas." The performance quickly made its way across social media, with fans praising the pair's chemistry and putting their own spin on one of the biggest songs of 2026.

The duet was part of a special encore that also included performances of One Direction's "Steal My Girl," Niall Horan's solo hit "Heaven," and Thomas Rhett's signature ballad "Die a Happy Man." Horan also stepped in to sing Blake Shelton's parts on "Old Tricks," a collaboration that originally appeared on the deluxe edition of Rhett's About a Woman album.

The choice of "Choosin' Texas" was fitting. Ella Langley's breakout smash has become one of the year's biggest crossover hits, spending multiple weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 while also dominating the country charts and becoming a cultural phenomenon. 

Fans who attended the Nashville show got more than two full concerts—they witnessed a rare collaboration between two artists from different worlds celebrating one of the hottest songs in music.
