More Room Near TCU
Ampersand’s location on South University Drive near TCU is expanding into the space next door that was previously occupied by Jimmy John’s.
The extra room will allow the shop to add more seating and build out a full kitchen, giving the team more space to prepare food and eventually make pastries in-house. Owner Toan Luong told the Star-Telegram that the shop has become a popular study spot for students, so the expansion should help with crowding.
The timing of the construction is still being worked out, but Ampersand plans to do much of the work during school breaks so regular operations aren’t disrupted.

West 7th Is Expanding Too
Ampersand’s original Fort Worth location in the West 7th Entertainment District is also getting a smaller expansion.
That location is adding a full kitchen as the brand continues to grow beyond just coffee and drinks.
Ampersand first opened in Fort Worth in 2017 and built its reputation around craft coffee, matcha, food and a café-by-day, bar-by-night setup.

Another DFW Airport Location Is Coming
The biggest expansion may be at DFW Airport.
Ampersand already operates a location in Terminal C, but a second airport shop is planned for Terminal F, near Gate F17. DFW Airport confirmed Ampersand as one of several North Texas brands selected for the new terminal. Dallas Fort Worth International Airport
The Terminal F location is expected to open by May 2027.
Ampersand says it owns its airport locations outright rather than operating through a larger concession partner, which is unusual in the airport business.

Local Brands Are Getting More Space at DFW
Ampersand won’t be alone.
DFW Airport is also bringing in more North Texas names as part of its Terminal F expansion, including Cookie Society, Mi Cocina, Mama Moore’s and Audrey’s Popcorn. Airport officials say the goal is to give travelers more local flavor instead of relying only on national chains. Dallas Fort Worth International Airport
For Ampersand, the growth means more room near TCU, a stronger food operation in Fort Worth, and a bigger presence at one of the busiest airports in the world.
